Tour de Fleece - Final Day

To wrap it all up here's what I've accomplished during Tour de Fleece 2011.

Tour de Fleece 2011

I'm quite pleased with it all. It's 64oz or 4lbs fiber, and 4,678yds of finished yarn. Phew! I can't say that I'm not glad it's over though. Right now I'm thinking this was a one time thing for me, but who knows how I feel next year? In any case, if I'll do it ever again, I'll need some goals I want to achieve, and a wider selection of fiber to spin. But for now, I'm happy!

Here's another video, where Happy makes a sprinkler out of our hose, but I must say, it was leaking anyway, so we'll have to cut off a piece. Oh and, I was so focused on keeping him in the pictures, that I did not see that he came closer. What a cold surprise that was. :o)

And another video of the boys:

Now I'm going to wind myself some Henry yarn, and cast on for my July socks.

You can take pride in how much spinning you accomplished! It's unbelievable!

The dogs' personalities really show in those videos. Happy is such a water bug!

I am a regular reader of your blog but a first time commenter. Just had to say how impressed I am with the amount of yarn you spun. It would have been a year's worth for me. Great job!

Wow! You have quite a lot of fiber to work with and so many colors! Yum!

Your fiber stash goes down and your yarn stash goes up. Either way, yay!

Congratulations on finishing your first Tour. Next year you don't have to join a team, you can spin and post in the Peloton room. No pressure, but I hope to see you there.

And how I envy your pups with their water games - especially with this heat wave.

Incredible! If I were you I'd have to leave that yarn out to enjoy as eye candy for a while. :)

Sorry I haven’t been around the finish line of each étappe of the TdF! Too busy/tired/lazy to even start the computer at home… Wow, what great yarns you spun! Love them all! Congrats on finishing the tour de Fleece!!! I imagine some of the Tour de France guys also think that Sunday night on the Champs Elysées that that was their last time to go all those endless kilometers and force yourself to keep cycling – and they are back the next year! Have you seen Winokurov’s accident? He broke his thigh and still limped back up to the street…

You should be quite pleased, I'll say!!!! What a nice stash to keep you warm and happy in the upcoming months ~

Loved seeing Happy go to town with the hose. Mine is full of holes too, but from being left outside in the sun to bake. I thought Maggie would look just like Happy when she matured but they are very different physically.
