Flu - Cold? Flold?

Just in case you are wondering why I haven't visited your blogs or commented on your posts - I've been down with the flu, or cold, or a mixture of both over the last few days. I found myself in bed with nausea, headache, runny nose, and fever, not the most fun bed companions, I can tell you! New Years Eve fireworks popped up in my feverish dreams. Sam was torn between wanting to stay with me, and running to hide as fast a he could. I left the door open so he could come back, whenever he felt comfortable. Anyway, I'm better today, but right now, my ears feel like they are stuffed with cotton balls, that's quite a weird feeling. Nose is still running, but thank god, the nausea is gone. I'm still shaky on my feet. Being here on the computer will be a short stunt, sweat is forming already on my forehead. I'd better head off to my bed now. Hopefully kicking out those unwanted bed fellows. Needless to say, that no knitting, or spinning, or any kind of activity has been going on around here. The only fiber activity I could mention are the dust bunnies lurking and multiplying with hysterical laughter. I wonder, do men know how to operate the vacuum cleaner? Do they know where it's located, in case I'm having nightmares about dust bunnies taking over the world..... (I'm sure its only the men in my household who don't know). Now, I'm really better off to bed....

Have a wonderful New Year!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well! Hope you feel better soon. I'm also fighting the sniffles, but I'm so thankful that I didn't get them before or on Christmas. Take care!

I hope you feel better enough to knit soon! I'm sorry to say that my Hubby does almost all the vacuuming in our house because of my allergies. Maybe you should become allergic to dust bunnies? :-)

Well, that's a heck of a way to start a new year. I'm relieved to hear that you're beginning to recover. It's a terrible way to feel plus we miss you.

No, it isn't only the men in your household who ignore vacuum cleaners. Men don't see dust bunnies the way women do. In fact I suspect men don't see them at all.

Glad you're on the upswing of your bug and I hope you're on your feet again soon :)

You know, nothing says you have to worry about dust bunnies either!

Feel better soon! It truly sounds terrible. Get lots of rest and take care!

Take good care of yourself...and feel better real soon. Don't worry about your house...just concentrate on getting well. Maybe if your lucky the heinselmann will come during the night and clean for you. That's what my (German)grandmother would say when she needed her house cleaned...not sure if I have spelled it correctly or not?

Get well soon :)

Your knitting and blogging absence is excused. With bed fellows like this the only thing I can say I NyQuil. Hope you are up and running, I mean knitting, soon. Gute Besserung. Gesundheit.

I'm so sorry you weren't feeling well; and unfortunately, men don't even know what a vacuum cleaner is, so they are no help in the war against dust bunnies...
