So, that's over with too. Denny had to be in at 8AM this morning. At 1PM we've got a call from the Vet's office to please pick up Denny asap (for his own good of course), since he was barking up a storm there as soon as he woke up from surgery. Normally they want them to stay over night, but not this time, not this guy!
After he came home he had a big pee, and drank a lot of water, he and Happy settled on the big bed. Happy sniffed him from head to toe. We'll see if we need to get them both a cone, because not only does Denny lick his wound, but Happy wants to help too.
Now, Denny is finally sleeping, but he's never been so good like today, must be the drugs. :o)
He'll be back at the Vet's tomorrow morning for a check up.

Yes, a sedated puppy is a good puppy ;) However, Denny must not have been very sedated if he barked up a storm at the vets. What a character!
So glad Denny came through his surgery with flying colors. Give he and Happy a big smooch from us!
Ha! I love that Denny got kicked out of the vet's! Such a trouble maker
I'm glad he's ok and home.
He knew if he made enough noise he'd get to go home lol
Poor baby Denny!! He's a rascal, I am so glad he is well!! happy is a lovely brother for Denny, I expect Denny smelled a lot of the Vet!!!
awwwww sweet boys!!
Glad everything went well! It's so nice that Denny and Happy are such good friends.
Hopefully Happy's now stopped licking now the vet smell is fading. My first GSD bitch came out of spaying-sedation howling for home, and howled all night - they rang us up to come and get her early!
Ahhhh - what sweet photos. Happy really loves him!!! Glad to hear he is doing well. Sofee sends her best.
Good it’s over and went so well, isn’t it? I hate to need surgery on my doggies. I am a wreck from leaving them sleeping on the table until they open their eyes again and I am very very glad (and they are) that I can be with them when they wake up.
And now, we're awaiting the follow-up report, especially on cones. It's delightful to see boy-dogs as lovey-dovey as my two girls are.
I'm glad Denny's surgery is over and done, and that he came out with flying colors and in full voice, too! :)
Maybe, if it's true, and if you're lucky, having him neutered will calm him down. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
Yay Denny!!! :) Glad he's home!
Aww, poor guy. My vet sent my pup (Dozer, yellow lab) home early as well. He was "doing fine" and was "okay to be home" ... yup, barking up a storm. I'm glad Denny is home.
Wonderful! So happy it went so well ~ love to see the boys cuddling and getting along so well :)
