Good morning 2010!

I L O V E early mornings on New Years Day! It's so eerily quiet in the neighborhood. Everybody is still asleep, only the snow plows in the distance grate down Yonge Street. I also heard another dog bark somewhere. We enjoy the fresh snow, it's fluffy and light, you can blow on it and it flies away. I would have waited at least for 8AM to go outside, but Happy was sitting in front of my sons bedroom door, making a hell of a noise, to get Biko to come out and play. Apparently that freak can't pee or poop without her, or he just wants company, who knows.

Jan. 1

Here she is looking for for her tennis ball. I never know where it will end up, when I throw it, so everybody better stay way behind me, to be safe.

Jan. 1

She found it. Happy got a lesson on how to jump up on the flower bed, and how to get down again. He seems very interested.

My dad made these little wooden pigs in a walnut shell (mass production before Christmas, because everybody wanted one or fifty). It's a good luck charm for this new year. I think they are very cute, and am glad to have one.

Happy New Year everyone!

I'm also glad that apparently neither Biko nor Happy are bothered by fire works. That's wonderful! Remember poor Sam? We had to sedate him, he was so scared of every boom and bang.
So, I hope you all don't have a big hang over from last night!

Good morning! I woke up this morning to a snowstorm. We knew it was coming, I think it just started earlier than the weather people thought it would.

Some people around us set off fireworks last night. All my two did was bark at them.

Happy New Year!

I woke up early too, and it's so quiet and peaceful here it's almost like I live on my block alone.

The litle bit of snow that's left makes my street look like a pretty winter wonderland.

I love the first day of a new year. There's so much potential for greatness ...

Wish you a very Happy New Year. Hope it brings joy, peace and good health to all of us and especially special people like you. It has been a remarkable experience for me personally to see Happy grow along with your hot knitting. It made me get over some of the pain and sadness of losing Vanilla in February last year. Thanks so much for sharing the joy.

Best wishes,
Pragya

Wow, that's a Winter Wonderland. I love the concentration of Sam's ears as he watches Biko. he seems pretty impressed!!
How sweet that he needs company to wee and pooh!!
I do remember Sam being so upset. We had fireworks but we all pay no attention deliberately, though Lorelai Gilmore was a bit startled by the crackers on TV!!
No hangover here!!!

A little late but nevertheless:
A VERY GOOD MORNING AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR, DEAR MONIKA!

Susanne

I love that kind of mornings also very much. We walked Ysja on New Years day and the only other person we saw was a man on his mountainbike.

I am glad to say Ysja is not afraid of fire works.

The little wooden piggy looks lovely.
