I swatched!

I rarely swatch, almost never. But this time, I wanted to see how the yarn I've chosen would work for this pattern. I've joined the Blooming Mystery KAL on ravelry, just because I saw someone elses swatch! How's that for motivation?!



I think it will work. The KAL starts this weekend.


I've also received my first installment of Pins & Lace Club 2011 by Romi Hill. I LOVE it! Even though it's lace weight yarn, I'm going to knit this one, but without the beads. Romi says," One of my favorites is the Spanish Moss that hangs from oak trees and remains green throughout the year. In the winter, it's lovely delicately adorned with drops of rain and dew." I guess that's where the blueish beads come in. They are lovely but I don't really like them with this yarn and if you don't know the whole story, you just see this delicate green color, and those blue beads. It's just personal taste, that's all.
The pin is my very first shawl pin, and it's made from Nickel. It's beautiful! But before I can cast on I have to finish another shawl designed by Romi - Celaeno. I'm halfway done with it.


I've baked another Reindling. The one I baked before this one, did not turn out that well. I think the yeast was inactive. I used different yeast this time, and it sure was active enough, I'd say. It doubled in size.

For those of you who are on ravelry, I have a special treat for you to look at. Claudia made this wonderful shawl from handspun yarn she purchased from me. It's such a beautiful work, I'm astonished, and can't quite believe, that I made the yarn for it. She found the perfect pattern for it. Seeing this makes me want to go through my fiber stash and look for suitable fiber to spin more of those long color changing yarns. By the way, I've decided to but up my handspun yarn in my shop for a limited time only, before they go back into my own handspun yarn stash. I love my yarn, and am always looking forward to finding the perfect project for each one of them. But I want to give you the chance to get something, if you really like it too. Right now there's slim pickings over there, but I'll fill it up soon. I haven't even introduced the yarn for sale here on my blog yet.
