My Handspun Multnomah shawl

I can't believe I still have something from last year to show you! It's my handspun Multnomah shawl. Here's the yarn again:
Faerie Falls sw merino-bamboo-nylon 4oz by Moonlightbaker-~366yds, 2-ply
I quite like how it looks like:
Handspun Multnomah

specs:
pattern: by Kate Flagg
yarn: my own handspun, Fairie Falls, 366yds, merino/bamboo/nylon bought from Moonlightbaker
needle: 3.25mm
size after blocking: 17 1/2 inches x 48 inches (it's a small shawl)
mods: I can't remember, but I think I did 11 feather & fan repeats.
start-finish: December 16-18, 2009

Biko Feb.24

Biko was poorly over the weekend. She really had us worried. She didn't want to eat, and she didn't want to go outside, that NEVER EVER happened before. Of course it's always on a weekend, when we can't get our regular Vet. But thankfully, late yesterday afternoon, she suddenly went from glassy eyed to her usual old self, eating, AND playing outside. I don't exactly know what was wrong with her, and why. Another sign that she was not well was, that Happy did not bother her in his usual way, but only sniffed her, and went away again.
The photo is from a couple of weeks ago.

What a gorgeous Multnomah!! I just love the pattern once I got the hang of the F&F section. Sure hope Biko is ok. That's scary when they act like that. Milo had an episode like that a couple weeks back. Hugs to you both, Happy, too!

Boy you have all kinds of stuff hidden away! Beautiful shawl - nice and simple to show off your gorgeous handspun!

I'm trying to make a handspun shawl decision (600 yards 50/50 cashmere /silk) and now have it narrowed down to 8 patterns.

Love the shawl! Gorgeous colors, and I am partial to green.

We took the dogs to a place where they could run on Saturday. When we got home Jewel was limping really badly. She never yelped or seemed to do anything to herself, so we're not sure what she did. We felt all around her, she didn't growl or cry, and nothing felt odd. I've been keeping an eye on her, today she's barely limping at all, and she started playing with Maggie a bit this morning. I think she must have pulled something. Sometimes I think it's a bad idea for us to let them loose anywhere -- the last time we did that she limped, too, but not as bad as this time. (And Maggie tore the skin on the pads on both of her front feet this weekend, too, but they have healed up already.)

Your handspun is gorgeous! Multnomah is a perfect shawl to show off the color. That pattern has been in my queue for some time. You have inspired me to stash dive so I can start one!

I'll echo the other comments, "Gorgeous!" I need to make sure I have this one in my Ravelry queue for a future handspun project, it really is perfect for showing off the colors.

Sorry that Biko wasn't feeling well - and I hope that everything is ok now!

that is seriously beautiful. I always love what you knit, but this is something extra special!

And I'm glad Biko is okay. It's so scary when they're "off" like that. Give her a hug for me!

So glad that Biko snapped out of whatever was bothering her. I hope that's the end of that for her.

Gorgeous shawl! Just gorgeous!

Oh those are beautiful colours in the shawl, and the pattern is great.
I am glad to hear Biko is feeling better again. It is so worrying when they are poorly. Isn't it funny the way the other dog/s take care around the one who is not well??

Gorgeous - a perfect combination of yarn & pattern!

Your shawl is LOVELY! The colors are awesome. Is it a keeper or is it a gift?

Poor Biko. If I thought she'd get better I'd say send her here to me in the Bronx. Hopefully she'll stay well.

It's a gorgeous shawl and your yarn looks spectacular with that pattern! But it's hard to think about the shawl when you mentioned Biko. I'm glad she perked up but know how that type of thing is a worrying.

The shawl is beautiful!

I am sorry you are having to watch someone you love be in poor health/getting old. It's hard no matter how they fit into your life.

Shawl looks great! Sorry to hear about Biko. :-( Is she just getting older or are you going to get her a checkup? Maybe she just wanted a break from Happy for a while...
