This is Sakura or Cherry Blossom a triangular shawl. I found myself with nothing to knit, and since I've always wanted to design my own shawl(s), I gave it a try. It will be an easy one for those of you who just get started on lace knitting. You can only see it from the wrong side for now. I've purchased Noro Sakura some time ago. It was a discount sale and I had to have it. Not knowing what to do with it, until yesterday, when I was rummaging through my stash. It was perfect! This will be a shawl which I can actually use, because I'm not afraid I will ruin it in any way. Why, you ask? Because of the yarn blend. You see, it's 36% rayon 28% polyester 18% nylon 11% silk 7 % lamb's wool. And it's Noro! I've knit up almost one 40g ball last night. I probably will write up a pattern a la Elizabeth Zimmermann, pithy directions, one doesn't need more. It's easy to knit and the yarn does it's magic. We'll see how it turns out, when it's all grown up, but I'm loving it.
Oh, FYI, the reason I posted about it already are the addi turbo lace needles I'm using. 4mm that is! I absolutely LOVE to work with those! My new all time favorite needles!
I took the picture with day light, but one wouldn't think so, because it's grey and gloomy outside. Nasty and wet! It's not going to be any better any time soon, so I have to take pictures anyway.
Later! ;o)

Looking very nice - what kind of yardage do you plan to use for it? I have some yarns for which I have nebulous plans to knit into shawls.
