Doggone it! - dog picture heavy post

After three rather dreary days the sun came out again , and so did we. We had fun in the backyard playing. While Biko was running her tail off, chasing after her beloved tennis ball (on land and in water), Sam was shade hopping. Due to his gimpy legs (front and hind legs) he can not keep up with Biko. He's exchanged his snow shovel for the big red ball, it's much safer for all of us (especially our knees where always in jeopardy!).

But of course that's not the only thing we did today ...

........... there was also some lace knitting on the program. As attractive as lace knitting in progress is, also called a tangled mess, here is my very own lace scarf in the making. The border is done and I've started on the actual lace pattern. It's slow going, because for one, there's birthday preparations going on (like baking a yummy cake) and second I'm new to reading charts. I'm hoping to get to my knitting this evening. I'll keep you posted! ;o)

I love the dog pictures. Your dogs are just lovely.

How does the big red ball hold up? I've thought about getting one, but am afraid that my Shepherds will destroy it.

Your puppy dogs are so cute!

The lace looks good so far - as good as lace can before it's blocked and done. I like the color.

I think it is so great that you are designing your own lace scarf. I wish I was brave enough to create my own! I have all the Barbara Walker books - I just need to not be afraid to use them. I can't wait to see what you designed!
