I give up. The Trellis scarf beginning (which was looking so promising) is no more. There's no way I'm going to bother with these K7tog. My tongue was hanging out of my mouth, I almost bit it off. Brave women who mastered this pattern, I bow in reverence to you!
Oh well, I've got to find something easier to chew on. I'll let you know. ;o)

Uh oh. K7tog? The only way it could be worse would be 'through the back loop.' At least you tried. You can always come back to it.
I did the exact same thing! I got about 2 inches past the border before I chucked it in. And you're right, the crochet hook didn't help!
I totally agree with you!! I did two pattern repeats and that was it. I'd had it. It is a lovely pattern but I surrender!!
Knitting last interweave's shawl whom I don't remember the name, I came across the same problem, but for k5tog. Thanks to the great web ladies oand the kal, I found that you can slip 5, knit2tog, pass the slipped stitches over, and it is a lot easier!
Maybe you could try just once more?
Otherwise it's all right. There are so many great other scarves and shawl to knit...
this one was on my list, but I have read everywhere that it's near impossible to do ... I am working on the swallow tail shawl by the same designer, and that incorporates p5tog. It looks very inconsistent, and it's on the back burner for now
