Our old house!

I'm so excited, I just have to share this with you! Our old house, the one we renovated for twelve years before we moved to Canada is on the market again. There are five photographs to look at, and one is of the kitchen! I loved this kitchen. We did most of the renovations ourselves, but the best part was the kitchen. It hasn't changed that much, except I never had such a mess. They even kept the kitchen table and the chairs. Some of the back splash tiles I put up myself. I've never been back to see the house inside. We just drove by, whenever we were in the neighborhood, when visiting Austria.

Here's the link to our old house.

Since the link will not be there forever, here are the photos:

Oh, it looks very much like I imagine an Austrian house should look like and you are so clever to do the tiling. It is very strange to go back and see the places you used to live. I still think of my childhood home as 'home' even though I've lived in this house for much longer.

LG Silvia

What a wonderful house and property! The pond in the garden would have to be my favorite spot :)

I wouldn't say the kitchen is untidy ~ simply filled with too much clutter. Less is more - LOL

I love the look of the front doors and the garden and the kitchen. It looks as if everything was on one floor which makes me love the whole house!

Any chance of you buying your old house back?

It looks like a lovely home and a nice yard and surroundings. Is that typical of real estate there, to not 'stage' a house, at least for photos? When we sold our homes, we couldn't have anything on the counters, not even the dish soap. It was really tough with 3 young kids and a dog, but it made a huge difference. I'd also love to hear how you ended up in Ontario!

What lovely character your old house has, both inside and out. For some reason I feel like everywhere in Europe houses have more character and charm than in the US. I know a lot of character comes from age - in a new house one hasn't had the time yet to add the character, but still. I hope some day my own home will have half as much charm.

Beautiful! I can't decide which I love more - your garden or your kitchen.
