Woke up with a brutal headache yesterday morning. I got up at 6AM, and felt nauseous. I had goose bumps, and cold sweat. Took two pills, and sat on the couch, waiting for the headache and nausea to go away. It didn't for a while. I must have fallen asleep on the couch, because next time I looked up it was 9AM. I felt terrible, and by now the light was bothering me too. At 11 AM I took pills again, covered my eyes, and fell promptly asleep again. Sometime during all this I dragged myself to the computer to check e-mails, which made me laugh about myself. No matter how bad I'm feeling, it's important to me to stay in touch with the world. By midafternoon, I felt well enough to start doing my chores, half a day late, which screwed up my "time plan". There was still some lingering squeezyness, and headache til the evening. Never felt like that before. Don't want to feel like that again.
To have some fiber content in this post, look what the mailman brought to my door. It's 3 lbs of beautiful chocolate brown alpaca/merino blend! I got it from Victoria's Fiber, after reading this blog post. It's very soft, only a few vegetable matters in it, but easily picked out. Looking forward to spin this up. What for? Don't know yet.

So sorry about your migraine. I sure hope you are feeling 100% today. My mosaic knitting book arrived yesterday. Can't wait to dig in. Take care.
gack! Sounds like a migraine to me. I've never had one, but it sure matches the descriptions from friends who get them. I hope you *don't* get one again--but you might want to talk to your doctor. I'm glad you're feeling better, and got roving to sooth your soul.
Yup, that was a migrane, the nausea, the light sensitivity. Migranes are horrible, hope you're feeling better today.
That pile of fiber looks amazing/intimidating/delicious! Have fun with it.
Eww yuck! Yes, sounds like a migraine to me! I get them from eating red bell peppers(sometimes any colour), I know that sounds weird but it's true. Might want to think back if you ate anything different... and keep tabs when you eat it again...
Hope your feeling better! Love the fibre!
Yummy chocolate fiber! Hope you feel better today.
i will agree with everyone here, migraine ugliness.
here's to hoping you only ever have this one.
also, your postal carrier must love you and your three pounds of fiber! :)lol
Monika, that sounds like a migraine. I've had one like that once. Woke up just in pain, I couldn't even turn my head or talk to loudly. It was so bad. I was pregnant at the time so that might account for it. But it has something to do with blood vessels either swelling or contracting. I don't know for sure. But, luckily, it only happened once. I have no idea why I got it. But, glad it's never happened. Majority of people experience at least one in their lives. I hope it doesn't happen again. :D
What beautiful roving. But...what a sad story. I live in an apartment building and the fire alarm is going at least once every few months. Thankfully, it's never been a fire, only some drunk guy or kids daring each other. But, it's a nasty fear of mine.
I've never had a migraine before (knock on wood), so I can't say whether or not your symptoms compare. What I can say is...those were my symptoms in the early stages of pregnancy! hehe. Really, I had horrible headaches.
sounds like a migraine to me. Everyone seems to have them a little differently if you have one again i'd check with your doctor.
Sounds like an awful day.
Your fiber is beautiful, it does look like a treat to spin up.
I only get headaches and I guess I can be thankful for that. Now the fibre hopefully helped make you feel better. I could imagine a nice cardigan or chunky hoodie.
It sounds like my migraines! Poor baby.
Pretty roving!
sounds horible!
i do hope that you are feelng better!
Sigh...
Yep, sounds like a migraine....sorry.
If you want to talk anymore about it, or ask a few questions I'll tell ya what I know. I'm kinda experienced. I've had them since I 7 yrs old. I have them more often than I don't. They are some of the reason--certainly not all of it though :o) --of all my starts and stops on projects.
Tanja
Glad you recovered from your headache. I have great sympathy (as a migraine sufferer myself) for you :)
Your chocolate fiber looks good enough to eat ;) yum!
Oooh... I hate migraines... hope you don't get anymore...
Very yummy caramel-colored fiber you have there!
